i'd go for a new battery first and see how that holds up and then break out the multi meter if that fails.

Get a multimeter on it and check it when the bike is running. Check it at tick over and when giving the bike a few revs.

Hi
Not sure on the bike. Some power the headlight directly on AC on a separate circuit so check the other lights. Do the other lights get brighter when you rev the engine? If so then that suggest the charging circuit is working so I would look at the battery first.
If the lights get brighter, but not much then it suggests that full power isn't being delivered. Normal regulator / rectifiers either work or don't work so I would check the stator.
However most common failure seems to be the regulator /rectifier. This is 2 things combined into one unit. The rectifier turns ac to dc, and not that much there to reduce power. The regulator controls the voltage, and when it goes wrong it is likely to either stop the system charging or supply too high a voltage (and boil the battery, blow bulbs, and burn out electronic units).
All the best
