 |

Hi guys.
Selling my ZZR on ebay, shameless link.
Within 10 minutes of putting it on ebay I had a message from a guy offering me a pretty decent amount for it. I have told him I will get back to him tomorrow.
He has 100% feedback over the last year and a bit (13 feedbacks altogether) including two bike purchases, I got him to send me an email to my email address rather than through ebay as I can't always get on ebay at work.
In this email he has offered me 10% via paypal and the rest as cash on collection which seems all right to me, however his email address is polish I think it ends in @interia.pl
I have heard that there are a lot of Eastern Europeans buying bikes over here and shipping them back, so do I have nothing to worry about? His ebay account says he is based in the midlands and his written English is good so maybe I am being paranoid.
Advice please
Thanks

Paypal claim could get his money back (10% he sent you) tell him to give you a deposit of £50 via Paypal and get him to come down with the rest in cash in hand, inspect the money and write out a reciept for yourself and him (having each other sign both copies) all the best on the sale ____________________ C.B.T - Expired

Yes he may buy it off you and sell it on over there, as they bring more money over there for some reason
Just make sure the money you recieve is all correct and legit and all is good, who cares what he does with it after you get your money |

From people reporting back on here, I'd say there seems to be a much higher rate who were happy with the transaction when it was with Polish people buying to sell in Poland .
Not saying this case is/isn't dodgy, but from what people that have completed the transaction are saying, it sounds like that shouldn't be a cause for concern, at least.

Yeah, and it could be entirely coincidental that he happened to look just after you uploaded yours ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11

I would much rather deal with Polish re-seller then with a haggling cunt who tries to get 500quid off the asking price without any reason whatsoever. ____________________ Theory Passed: 23/10/2008 49/74 Bike Test Passed: 05/01/2009 1 minor

Going by the advert, conditon and price I'd say the guy is almost certainly legit. I wouldn't take a deposit, I'd just tell him to come round with cash but to phone before he leaves to be sure it's not sold. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Can only echo what the others have said really. It's probably ok, I've had a couple of bikes bought by gents from Europe. ____________________ My Flickr |
