A friend has an ER5. It seems to do the commuting job excellently. I've seen a tonne out of it so not exactly slow. But, the 900 puts out almost double the BHP. Haven't owned one though so can't say anything. ____________________ Willson - "If you go out on that CBR600 in the winter, you're going to do more miles on your side than on your wheels."

I came off a Hornet onto a ER-5 as it is cheaper to run and the consumables are cheaper, the step-down isn't THAT bad, you have 40bhp+ less but I still find it has plenty of power. It has a Remus exhaust on too so sounds better than it is ____________________ Speedshite 50cc > Honda XR125L > Kawasaki GPZ 500 S > 02 Honda Hornet > 05 Honda CG125 winter hack > 04 Kawasaki ER-5 > 99 Honda Hornet 600 > Kawasaki GPZ 500 S > 99 Honda Hornet 600 > 05 Honda CBR600F > 01 Honda Hornet |
