hi.i took my honda lead 100 out for a run today and only got out of my estate and it stopped.i wheeled it home and took it round the back to have a look.tried it again and it started, ran for a while then stopped.sounded like a fuel problem so i checked it was getting fuel ok,it was.then i took out the plug and checked for spark.no spark.tried different plug, still no spark.then tried different coil and lead, still no spark.fuse is ok as lights and horn work.wire connections from engine seem ok.not sure how to check cdi but connections to it look ok.any ideas?

Kill switch?

I don't just mean the switch itself I mean the contacts inside. Check the resistance through the switch with it set to "Run".

Did you open the fuel cap just before it started again? Sometimes the fuel cap breather gets blocked and the bike runs until the air in the tank disappears then cuts out. Open the fuel cap, replenish the air and the problem repeats itself. Cure is to blast some air through the cap's breather hole, on locking caps that is also the key hole.
