Hi

Gearbox oil not sure on (and the manual is in hidden around somewhere). Suspect it is a plain 10W40.

As to carb mixtures, where do you think it is out? Depending on the throttle position you need to adjust the idle mixture screw / idle air screw, the needle position / change the needle itself or change the main jet.

All the best

Keith

The manual i've got at home says 10w/30
I've been using silkolene light gear oil in mine for about 2 years now on the recommendation of a local honda dealers mechanic who has worked on them from when they were first released.
Not sure how that compares to 10w/30 or if its the same(keith may be able to shed some light on this) but i change it every 2000 miles and never had a problem in over 20000.

Hi

According to the Silkolene web site their light gear oil is equivalent to a 10W40.

All the best

Cheers keith always wondered that but never got round to checking,

OP i forgot to say specified amounts are 500ml if your just changing the gear oil or 600ml if your refilling from empty i.e. engines been apart.
