Ello peeps.

I've just twigged that because Easter is late this year and there's an extra holiday for the royal wedding the next week (which is also the May bank holiday weekend), that just by booking the 26-28th April off I can get 11 days off in one go.

The wife's away at that time, so I'm looking at getting a couple of rallies in on those two weekends - anyone recommend any?

Actually, whilst thinking about it, it might be a good time for me to do the 125cc LETJOG in between... Thinking

Creatures Small Change rally is usually a VERY good one, small, traditional and full of people you would identify with and have a good laugh with.

Don't think it's THAT weekend though (usually middle May):
13th - 15th May 2011
The Plough
Ramsey Road,
Farcet Fen,
Peterborough,
Cambridgeshire,
PE7 3DR

That particular weekend, it's usually all happening on the Isle of Wight, at the Over The Edge Rally. It's a bit risque...lots of dressing up, pretty much anything goes...goes on for the whole of the 4 days. If you have booked tickets for the rally, you get discount on the ferry.

Found another...69mcc's Kent Coalfield Rally, 15-17th April weekend. Don't know much else about it, apart than I have been invited.

it depends on roughly where The Shaggy D.A. is, and how far they`re willing to travel.
There are several good rallies over the easter weekend inc.
Bum in the Mud on mersea island nr Colchester
Ridgeway riders - George to the Dragon nr Oxford
and of course the East leeds lions.

All of those have a slightly different aspect, the george has an indoor trad beer bar. The east leeds has its foam cannon

Bum in the Mud ALWAYS has a good reputation on the rally scene, it does get sold out rather quickly though, much like the Soggy Moggy.

I shall be doing the NABD in May as I had to miss it last year, will try and do the Bulldog this year, sort of 50/50 on that one though tbh, and I'll try and start doing one rally a month aswell again, we'll see how it goes... Thumbs Up
