From what I have read end float adjustment is an Austrailin or Americam colloquialism for valve adjustments which sounds about right to me. (Could be wrong)
I could be wrong but the maths don't add up to me unless this bike has been ridden without any engine oil, or the bike been round the clock in terms of milage.
There is supposed to be a little lateral movemnt of the comrod.
6000km with a worn gudgen pin and 10mm lateral movement which equals 1cm lateral movement of the comrod.????????????????????
Arrrr!!!!, Leg it!!!
The ticking sound will probably have been the cam shaft valve clearences which are easy to set with a spanner an a set of feeler gauges.
Valve clearances:
# Inlet: 0.15mm ± 0.02mm cold.
# Exhaust: 0.2mm ± 0.02mm cold.

i may be mistaken but i tought lateral movement was ok aslong as it has no play within the bearing, as in hold the bottom of the crank and check for play side to side. ____________________ 04 NSR 125(sold) ---- 03 CBR 600rr(sold) ----90 pan euro ST1100 ' ' ----02 CG 125

The end float, I think is the side to side clearance space as you say , which it has to have , to a certain degree . Some I think have shims in , whether they can be adjusted ??? I dont know .
Honda should be able to give you the specs for the limits of them . ____________________ If you can't fix it with a hammer , use your head .
