Ok, so i know some of you are gonna be like "oh you dick, why'd ya get that" and i know i was told to go geared but honestly, i just want something to get me from A to B. So today, my dad bought me a Gilera DNA 50 Very Happy

I really like it, Runs well. Everything works. Only problem is the Front Right indicator lens has snapped off (buying new one soon) and the electric start doesn't get enough power due to low battery. Gonna charge it up though.

Its an X reg that's only done 1816 miles. (clock is in kmh) and i got it for £400.

Enjoy it.

I got my first bike near my 18th birthday so never owned a 50, have ridden a geared one though. Not immense power but it will do you until you decide you either want a car or bike at 17 Thumbs Up

My daughter had one at 16 and loved it. A good price as well. Thumbs Up There is a spacer washer that stops the variomatic clutch allowing the bike to go over 35 if I remember right. If you remove it you should get another 5-10mph out of it.

Not that I'm advocating anything illegal Whistle

I remember you joining the forum a few months back wanting a bike when your 16 and asking for advice.

Notice you took none of it though Laughing

Seriously though. Great stuff. And as Swifty said. No tracky bottoms and trainers. Get your CBT booked and insurance sorted out then enjoy the bike. Welcome to life on 2 wheels. Thumbs Up

I'd remove that pink, sparkly star off the number plate.

The rozzers will nick you for it.

Indeed. Only light blue sparkly stars can be legally carried on the number plate.

I like this bike/scooter (erm...booter?). The large storage area appeals to me, I never have enough space for stuff.

For a 16yo, that is awesome Smile

When I was 16 (1993), I had a TOMOS (Yugoslavian I think) moped.
It was cr*p, but better than walking.
