A lady at work fell off her NSR some months ago damaging the LHS of the bike quite badly and bending the forks.
We have fitted new forks, clutch lever, gear pedal, and hanger.

The bike starts in neutral but makes a horrid noise from the clutch/gearbox.
If you put the bike in gear it goes with a huge clunk. Also with the engine switched off If you put the bike in gear and pull the clutch in it its impossible to move the bike, the back wheel just drags. Yet in neutral it starts perfectly so I dont think it has seized.

Any Ideas?

check the gear lever shaft hasn't been pushed through dissloging it from mechanism in clutch casing sometimes can be pushed through but shouldn't cause siezing find a friendly mechanic to have a quick look might be something simple if not i have a gearbox somewhere for a nsr somewhere with impellor seal failior but everything else ok does the bike move ok in neutral???? does it go into gear freely with engine off rock bike back and fourth with clutch out and change gear to see if all feels ok hope that helps but difficult to diagnose anything without seeing bike so unless your near north wales????

Hey,
Any news on the NSR?
Am very curious to hear how it goes...

Does the bike pull atall with the engine running and in gear with the clutch in?

Sounds like the clutch could be dragging heavily.

Best regards

Turns out the clutch plates had fallen to bits.
