Hi

Yes you probably will probably need to rejet for the airbox.

Why are you fitting the end can? Unlikely to give any real extra performance (the restriction is in the expansion chamber I think).

All the best

hi keith, the restrictor is out of the manifold now, just got the can as its cheap and the standard one is pretty rough looking, my plans are to get her sprayed so want it to look fresh. Do the jets have to be set up properly on rolling road or anything? just on a bit of a budget so may have to leave airbox as is, cheers

Hi

Too rich is safe while too lean risks engine damage. So best to get a selection of jets and start rich, working your way down. With the main jet you "adjust" it by changing to a different size of jet. The needle you can adjust the position to richen / lean the mixture while the idle fuel mixture can be adjusted with a knob.

What size to use I honestly do not know

All the best

Keith

Hi

Reliable on a 20 year old bike will depend a lot on how they have been treated and any tuning done to them. They didn't have a bad reputation, but were one of the first road bikes with a plated barrel so had a bit of a reputation for the costs involved when you did blow them up.

All the best

Keith
