They appear to be generic-branded Oxford "First Time" panniers, i.e. £33+ elsewhere.

£23 - get in.

The Oxford branding is clearly visible on the panniers if you zoom in - these look like genuine Oxford 1st Time.

Yes, they do don't they... However, they're not.
I bought myself a pair just after xmas for £39.99, looking at the picture, and reading the reviews on the Argos website, I believed they were Oxford. When I went to pick them up however, they are some Generic brand, (cant remember the name, its not printed on them anywhere).

Other than that, they are fine, if a little on the small side. I can fit a set of focus mitts in each one.

Hope that helps

Argos are quite notorious for supplying something 'of equal or higher specification' in their offers though. I've had it a few times, once even with a Toshiba laptop Shocked. Their equal or higher spec is sometimes rather arguable.

I'll be happy if they're the promised size. Report to come after lunch.

Out of stock everywhere that, would have been good to put my camera in and lens and stuff. Lidl is hit and miss here for bike stuff sometimes they have it and most the time not. I got a rain suit in there before , good faithful one. Still have it.

Ive got a tailpack for my GSXR - whats the probability of being able to strap something like this to the 'not considerable sized' tail unit and still be able to ride like Barry Sheene? Thinking

Just picked some up, the last set in the area by the looks of it. They aren't marked Oxford, haven't had a proper look at them yet though. Can't complain for £23.

Hopefully they'll fit on my CBR and hopefully the underseat exhaust won't set them on fire. Laughing

Seen this on someone's facebook.

These panniers are great. I highly recommend them.

Be careful with the heat of the exhaust burning a hole in them though, but apparent from that.... buy them !!!! Wink

Can this price be beaten?

The main problem with some budget gear is the Zips, Lidl Mag tank bag broke after 3 times use.
However, If you buy a , say YKK zipper, you can take the travelling zip part off and put onto the Lidl stuff.
The main reason zips fail is the tails of the zipper bend out, especially with Zinc cast zippers, they spread, and dont close the zipper teeth, a temp cure is close the ends of the zipper with pliers, ie towards the zip, and get a new zipper and fit by taking off the teeth ends, and fitting a quality zipper from a short zip, they are specific sizes.

Hope this is of some help to someone..
Don

For anyone with sports bike that are worried. Just be sensible and take your time. They will fit whatever you want. Also, I'd advice putting some gaffa tape over your fairings to stop them rubbing.

But yeah, they will be fine, I have some oxford sports which are fairly big, managed them on my Daytona 675 with no problem, and no obvious affects on handling!
