I've posted this on RSVzone but hopefully someone on here may be able to help me.
I need to remove the swingarm on one of the RSVs (bearing on the bottom of the swingarm has seized, but I have another swingarm with good bearing), and normally you need to remove the rear header pipe to do this as it goes around the swingarm pivot, however I have a Leo Vince full system, which has the usual 3 bolts to hold it onto the head, but the downpipe itself seems to be held against the plate with an exhaust spring.
Standard header:

The Full system is like this, but instead of the header being welded to the plate at the end with the three bolt holes, it's just held against it with a spring.
If I remove the spring to get the downpipe off (leaving the plate on the head) will I need to buy another exhaust gasket, or is the gasket behind the plate and the downpipe just sits metal-to-metal against the plate, like it does further down the full system at the collector area?
Cheers I can't find any information from Leo Vince, and I haven't seen any RSV's with the full system either. |
