hi there i have an aerox 50 54 plate, i have a gainelli exhuast, i have also put i air filter on to replace the old airbox, but i was wondering what needs to be done cos i have added the air filter, i need a new carb so i was wondering instead of upgrading the jets which i think you have to do, can i just put a 17.5 mm or 19mm carb on instead of the standard 12mm would this eliminate the need of new jets,

Sounds like a mind-field this one!
Race Pipes kill off Low Speed power, you will get a little spluttering low end as a result of the pipe upgrade, and the air filter change.
Adjusting mixture on the carb may help this.
Low rpm loss can be compensated with by Lighter weight Rollers.
It has the effect of Lower Gearing which lessens the Demand for power. https://www.scootershack.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=15614

Long and short of it is, run the bike up in the higher rev range for a few mins, hit the kill switch, pull clutch in and pull over. Take the spark plug out and take a look at the color of it.

This will tell you if it is running lean or rich (and this will tell you what you need to do to the carb)

Someone with more knowledge will wonder along soon to help out further Smile
