so we get her home to adress the starting issue and got to work straight away, with a battery hooked up and clocks all lit up i pressed the starter with no luck. :'( 3 hours later and plently of tinkering with the stater connections she fired up nicely and 7 hours later she striped down to the frame ____________________

she was ready for an mot and when they went to get her to run it just wouldnt start! which turned out to be a lose connection at the back of the starter |
But bikes don't need to be running to have an MOT? ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11

What? Since when? |
Well, since they arn't tested for emittions it needn't be run. That's what my MOT station said. ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11

Seriously impressive! It strikes me how similar the CB1 is to my Bros 400...but I wish my Bros looked like that ____________________ Riding: BMW R1150RT `02 bought mildly crashed

I've had both and they are very similar. Wish I still had the Bros actually, it's a slightly better city bike whilst the CB-1 is better on NSL roads in my opinion. It's a shame they don't make many bikes likes this anymore really. |
Yeah the Bros is great around town. It pulls from very low in the rev range so overtakes are quick and painless. I've not found it too bad on motorways either, although admittedly I've got nothing to compare it to.
After doing 240 miles on it this weekend (M25 and M3), it cruises at 70 at about 6k rpm and 80 isn't exactly hard work either. Other than the inevitable problems I've had with it (exploding fork seals, tyre valve stem etc), that I'll put down to it being pretty much sat for about a decade I think I've got a really good all round bike for not very much money.
I would definitely like to ride a CB1 or a CB400 Super Four at some point though, just out of curiosity really... ____________________ Riding: BMW R1150RT `02 bought mildly crashed
