Hi as with the subject my nsr has developed a huge dead spot at 7000rpm mainly in 5th and 6th gear. Has anyone any ideas why? Cheers!

Does it have an aftermarket exhaust or air filter (or even worse a cone filter)?

Is the exhaust blowing?

Air leak around the carbs making it run lean?

Could be a few things, if you have recently had the exhaust or carbs off I'd start there.

yh its got a sports exhaust on but no other modifications. The exhaust was on when I brought it. Its only developed this problem in the last week or so it was running fine before that. When I try and open it up at 7000rpm it just seems to die as if its running out of petrol or something. Cheers!

Running rich/lean?

Try replacing the spark plug, easiest and cheapest solution Laughing
