 |
|
Hello all,
Having read on here a few cases of people having problems bleeding brakes, and being aware that air goes up and the (front) brake pipe goes down, I decided to try something.
I have just replaced the front caliper seals on the Divvy and it was time to bleed.
I had this:https://motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/Parts.php?T=5&NU=15&M=91&Ct=CN&SbCt=BA_15_91_CN_30&spPage=3
Second item down. Its a syringe if you don't want to click.
Hose attached to end of syringe and onto the bleed nipple and used the syringe to draw the old fluid out. Filled up with fresh fluid and pumped the brake leaver whilst using the syringe to provide a vacuum on the bleed nipple so stopping the master cylinder drawing the fluid back when it was released. Worked a treat.
Sorry I did not take pictures, hope this might help someone out.
Cheers,

yes the syringe method works well, although I reverse bleed. You pump the fluid in from the caliper end and thus pushes the air up and out the reservoir. The usual method is then used to squeeze the remaining air and then bungee the lever back over night - job a good 'un |
