As long as the loom is from the correct year & model of the NSR in question I can't see there being a problem.
They are all 12 volt looms and can't see there being much if any differnces. Could be wrong, we will see.

Absolutely, but the problem is you're not cooking the potatoes correctly, you have to saute them first, then add a little rosemary and maybe some marjoram. I'm not sure though, you might have to boil them actually.

depense on the CDI , the loom is different if you have a CI626 or a CI639 or a CI626A because the black/yellow and the green are reversed and i think that's the only diffrence between them
32100 KBS 740 ........UK & Irl , IT,SP,Europe (CI626)
32100 KBS 620 .........FR (CI639)
32100 KBS ??? ..........SW,DE (CI626A)

So is there anything I can do about this. I bought a wiring loom and it's different to the one I had. The only difference is the wiring to the CDI is different. Two of the 4 wires are the different way around, can I just swap the wires to other way so it's correct for the CDI or do I need the CDI that would go with this wiring loom. Or have I got the wrong wiring loom and I need the one that would match my bike originally. I'm confused Alains, I fitted the new wiring loom tonight and the electrics work, I didn't want to start it though because of the CDI, I did try though but it wouldn't fire so gave up. Help mate. Thumbs Up

download my file https://www.geneva-racing.ch/~alains/NSRtips.doc
look page 8 you'll see the UK & Fr difference
but you can also look the mark on the CDI and apply the wiring with the CDI
doing it is simple : only 2 wires to cross (green & black/yellow)
- on the 4 wires connector from the main loom , the terminals inside havent a little clip which lock the terminal
- introduce a thin point of tweezers between the plastic and the terminal , push inside while pulling the wire until you feel this wire coming out , that's it
- refitting the terminal dont forget to put the little lock like a "y" then when you put back the terminal you will hear a tiny click
note : when you look the connectors diagram the wiring is behind

Hi,
I have a Honda NSR 125 R 1992.
The bike starts and rides well, but have no electrics at all. They did work fine, then starting playing up. Now bike bumps but nothing with electrics.
Hoping someone can help!
Cheers,
Nicky.

first of all check your battery (voltage must be more than 12.7V)
if it's down , process charging it following my instructions https://www.geneva-racing.ch/~alains/NSRtips.doc
if battery is good , you must check you contact key and the ground connection (main ground goes on the starter)
the positive entry is red , exit is black
check voltage between red and ground (anywhere on the frame)
if good , put key on and check between black and ground
keep me inform of your results

The battery is reading at 18-19v.
Is that too high?
Im a bit of a beginner with bikes so if you could dumb it down for me a bit please.
I know most things about my bike but this as got me stuck.
Cheers,
Nicky.

the voltage is 12V but as the battery is composed of 6 elements of 2.2V , a new and charged battery has 13.2V and 12.6V when discharged . obviously this is without engine running
when engine is running the voltage is regulated at 14.2V maximum and if voltage goes more than that (over 15) you have either a worn battery or a worn reg/rec . so with the chapter p#10 check your battery as shown , change battery if worn or change reg/rec

Thank you looks very helpful.
I am going to have a look later today and will let you know whats happening.
Pretty sure I will need a new battery as it was reading 18-19v without even being connected to the bike.
Cheers,
Nicky.

Hi,
Fixed the electrics, was a simple break in a wire.
Now the bike is overheating and spitting coolant straight out after I filled it up and bled it.
Any idea what this could be?
Nicky

white smoke
but when you will open the head , check the calorstat inside the pipe . put it in a pan with water then warm it until the water bubles gently , you should see the calorstat well open
if it doesnt open , dont buy a new one it's not worth the price and your bike will work perfectly without , it will be just 1 or 2 mn longer to warm
