I have the chance to get hold of a good low mileage Thunder cat and want to know if R6 usd forks would slip straight into the stock TH.CAT yokes?
Also, can the Thunder ace ally swingarm slot straight into the 600's frame without different added spacers?

USD forks won't fit in RWU yokes... No idea about the rest... probably not.

TL:DR but the answer to both questions is no.

Any idea what would be needed to fit the Thunder ace swinger into the Cat frame?
I ask because i have seen a TRX 850 fitted with FZR 1000 swinger and USD forks, but only at a glance, didn't get chance to ask how it was done.

Hi

Normal trick to swap forks and yokes is to press the stem out of the replacement yokes and replace it with the original stem from the bike the yokes are being added to. Will only work is they are about the same diameter though.

Swinging arm might fit OK (Yamaha are generally pretty good at only changing things that need changing), but that is one you will have to measure up. Might need spacers and you might have issues with the sprockets not lining up.

All the best

Keith
