took the bike a run tonight, got about 10 yards from my house and it began to bog down in 2nd gear, dropped to first the revs dropped all the way and died, couldnt get it started again.
getin really hacked off with it now, took the airbox off, and undone the carb to have a look, i noticed the 2t feed was kinked, the black part of the pipe appears to have been stuck on the end of the 2t pipe with insulating tape wtf Confused its too short which has caused it to kink just as it goes into the carb, its hard to see in the pics, couldnt find my camera so apiologies.
also the bit of the carb iv circled red, is that where the fuel filter is?

The red circle is the float bowl, and i suggest getting a longer 2 stroke line.

Try it. cost about 20p

its more than likely to have one, it will either be in the tank on top of the fuel tap, or somewhere along the fuel line.

+1
and if the Autolube pipe was choked, it probably wasn't 'bogging' but siezing.... a new bit of oil hose will fix the cause of the problem....
Fixing the effect may be a tad more expensive and time consuming, depending on how much damage has been done to the piston, rings and bore!

Never had a two stroke meself but i have heard you can un-seize them by pouring some two stroke into the bore (through the plug hole) and working the piston from the crank bolt (under the left hand cover). But you are most likely to have suffered bore damage from the original seizing, but who knows you might be lucky.

EEK!
Yes, thats actually true for most engines, if they have 'nipped up' in the barrel. And two strokes tend to be more prone to that, four strokes much more likely to sieze in a main bearing.
a LITTLE two stroke down the plug hole, then rocking bike back and forth in gear to GENTLY ease it off, can 'do the trick'.... HOWEVER
while may 'work' and engine may run 'OK' on something like a strimmer engine, or air cooled piston port engine, the 'Trouble' is that often, run 'Dry' the piston will 'burr over' around the piston rings, sticking the rings into the grooves, giving low compression, and poor running, and accelerating bore wear... and if nip up caused damage, it wont get any better, and will get a lot worse a lot more quickly.

And this is an AF1, which is a water cooled Hi-Po two stroke; not even sure if it may even be a single ring piston!

They do NOT like running without lube....

and if the ring or rings have scored the bore, and or the rings are burred int the piston, it would be asking for trouble to even try....

running it, and getting secondary damage from a ring snagging in the port or the small end bearing colapsing would be major major hassle.

Keith will be along to tell you prces and suppliers for AF1 'Bits', but worth a head & base gasket to wip the top off and have a look... drain coolant first, and I think its six bolts on them......

If it's not nice when you have the top off, well, THAT is Hi-Po two strokes for you..... and likely not ALL damage was on your part.....

If all's OK, breath heavy sigh of relief.... and mutter all you like at the waste of time, and cost of gaskets..... BUT, better that small hassle that a completely fucked engine!
