numbers i have on the seal

39 51 8/10.5

trying to find what forks they are first,
then how much oil is needed.

and for future reference when replacing fork seals and oil.

what class of bikes use light, medium, heavy fork oil

The numbers mean they are 39mm stanchions, 51 is the outside diameter of the seal, 8 is the thickness dunno what 10.5 refers to.
You're not going to identify them without a pic so someone may recognise them.
There's no way to generalise what weight of oil is used for different classes of bike they could be anything as springing varies enormously which has a bearing on the oil weight.
Got to be identified to get the right weight, amount/air gap etc.
