 |
|
Well, after going to get some oil from the local halfords for the gp100 rebuild, I get back to the bike to find that I had a flat!
I went back in the store to ask if they had an air compressor to see what was going on.
One of the assistants swiftly came out with an air compressor. After inflating the tyre there was a significant hissing form somewhere.
He goes back in and grabs some Holts Tyre Weld, filled up the tyre inflated to the correct PSI and I then rode home.
The stuff is bloody messy!
When I got back it looked as if someone had sex wee'd all underneath, haha!
The question is, how long will this last in the tyre?
The tyre has loads of tread left and I wouldn't really want to fork out for a new one if this stuff is going to last until the tyre needs renewing.
The puncture itself is the size of a medium sized nail. In fact I can't even locate it any more, as that sealant has sealed it up really well!
Cheers guys, ____________________ Yamaha MT-09

Tesco AND Asda are selling it cheap just now.
I think they are competing from prices on this same product. |

they wont plug your tyre if you've got tyre weld in it. It makes a real mess of the inside of the tyre.
Id personally get it replaced when you can, they're only meant to be a temp solution as someone else just said. |
