Ok here is a 'ok' pic of my NSR125RK 1989 model. I have been steadily repairing it and improving it since I got it. All the paintwork, and graphics are custom (well graphics modified from originals). Anyway gotta paint the wheels (white), touch up the frame (Gold) and replace the the part of the fairing with the neutral, high beam + indicator lights are in. But to my point. As you can see the seat needs recovering. I have some white leatheret, but have had many people saying stick to black. I like the white idea so it goes well with the bike. comments please:
P.S. anyone got that spare fairing??? Also all of the improvements are for the build up to selling it on.

Getting there mate Wink

I wouldn't do a white seat myself as black leathers will stain it if they get wet.

Your choice though it is after all your bike. If you want to sell it though, keep to standard colours and it'll sell better.

Stick to black. You can buy NSR seat covers for about £30 and you just need an upholstery stapler to re-cover it.

The advantage of doing it this way is that the cover comes pre-shaped and all you have to do is line it up and staple it.

I also think that white wheels suck (trust me) they are a pain to clean and they show up the dirt really badly.

Go for the streethawk look IMO, Dusty did that to his TZR125 and it looked sweeeet! Smile

Hi

Local place to me recovers seats for £45. A place in Birmingham does recovers and reshapes with gel inserts for around £125 (means you can lower the seat without loosing all the padding).

However white would not be a good idea. It would be white for about 10 minutes.

White wheels are OK. Cleaning them is a bit of a pain, but to be honest they show up the dirt no worse than most other colours.

All the best

Keith

How about a gold/bronze colour? It wont show up dirt too bad and it'll match the bike. Do what you feel looks "fresh".

Well the white leatheret I got only cost £8 so it wouldn't matter if I didn't use it, so with ya opinions I'd probably stick to black, dunno about the wheels yet though. Was really set on white but, I suppose black would be better because of cleaning but that would just say "lazy git". Me work mates call the bike 'streethawk' but as I have never seen it, I wouldn't know! Might get black wheels and white wheel righting, what yas think to that?

Wouldn't bother with white writing, it just looks daft. You're selling this bike, yeah? Keep it simple and subtle.
