My GP slip on has arrived but they didn't have it in black like I wanted, so ordered a chrome one.

VHT paint won't key to chrome very well. The only stuff I know that does is etching primer and that isn't heat resistant.

Is it a round can? You could wrap it in a sheet of carbon fibre.

Send it to a powder coaters? The one round the corner from me coats ovens. I would have thought that would have to be quite durable and heat resistant.

That's cause it's the spray can stuff.

The stuff in the pot lasts much better. Also it lasts better if you're paining an end can which only gets up to about 200C max, rather than a down pipe which can get up to 550C+

As said above powder coating might work perfectly, but i guess it depends on how much you're looking to spend.

Powder coating shouldn't be too expensive, I had my frame done for £65.

Have a chat with your local place and see what they can do.
