Hi all, anyone have an idea of rough weight of empty fuel tank, no petrol cap or hoses. Tank is off Suzuki gs500, steel.

I have NO scales. Sad

My old XJ 750 tank is 4.05 KG with nothing on it except the tap.

It's a 19 litre tank and from a design that's maybe 10 years older so yours might be even less.

EDIT: And the bottom of it is covered with filler. Laughing

Some guy just bought a very well used condition tank off me for 30 quid on the bay and postage is near enough £60. Must be crazy.

It cost less than that for me to have a tank, the same as the one I just weighed, shipped over from the USA!

www.collectmyparcel.com

Under a tenner for next day, just make sure you measure the item's size accurately, you can be hit with penalty fees if you don't.

As long as it weighs less than 20kg you'll be fine - just guesstimate its weight.
