Ignition barrel stuck?

Hey all.
So the kymco stryker has gone to a friend to get him through his test but he's gone and lost the only key for the bike...
We know a chap who says he can dismantle the barrel and make a key... if we can get the ignition barrel off. It appears however, there are two rivets holding the ignition barrel assembly on (the same as on my NSR125 RY).

I dont suppose anyone could give me a clue as to how to get the barrel out to get a key made?

If you can get a hold of a manual, it will probably show how it is fixed on.

If it is a couple of rivets ; when putting back on you will have to drill out the old rivets & pop rivet the barrel back in.

Usually it is not rivets ; it is a couple of bolts that you cant see underneath in a lot of these trail bike types ; so be careful what you grind off before you are sure how it comes to bits ; it may be a costly mistake to go at it before you are sure !!

An other alternative is once you take it off, put in a generic ignition switch ; there are many on e.bay for about a tenner, but you will have to be sure the amount of terminals match, etc....
