Go with the anger, it's good.
I had a similar experience a few years ago with a BMW driver - he very nearly took me out, and when i stopped to have a (initially polite) word with him at a set of lights he gave me the dismissive wave.
I completely lost it at that point, and when he wouldn't get out of his car to have a square go, it cost him his mirror (because it was the nearest thing to hand).
I would like to think he might be a bit more observant in the future, but based upon his condescending and dismissive wave, i'm inclined to think that he was just an arrogant and self-obsessed wanker. ____________________ Space Monkey #7

I used to Lose The Plot till the following happened:
(1) During one of my early volcanic episodes including verbal abuse, a van driver got out of his van, pushed me into the oncoming traffic and then when I went to kick his van, he drove it at me.
(2) I got off the bike once at a set of temporary traffic lights, giving it large with the handwaving and fishwifery at a mini cab driver who had cut me up, but whilst I was shouting at him to get out of the car, he took the initiative and ...... just drove around my bike and scarpered off away down the A13.
On both occasions I felt both stupid and endangered by my own actions.
So I've learnt to calm down and be Coldly Angry and glare in a slightly menacing style. I've found that parking beside their window (or in front of them if they refuse to let you catch their eye) and then giving it the slow head-turn and stare actually works better than Miss Fisticuffs mode.
If I can keep their attention long enough, mouthing the words "You fvcking w@nker" also seems to bring the subject to a mutually understandable point.
Then I let them take the initiative. Its their choice!
"Did she say what I think she just said?"
"I don't know, mate, I couldn't hear what she said ..."
I didn't say anything, officer. He cut me up, I pulled up at the lights and ignored him ... and then he chased me down the road for no apparent reason . . . ____________________ Not nearly as interesting in real life. |

If you want to calm down whilst riding a bike just remember how vunerable you are and how easy to squish you are on a bike.
You may drag him out of his motor and give him a smack for being such a dangerous twat, but that may just make him even madder and his weapon of choice will weigh about a ton and easily squash you .
Also remember you dont know diddly about this idiot or what they have hidden in thier motor waiting to inflict pain and hurt upon you .
Me, I`ve got a black belt in running away and can ride away from the best of them ____________________ I am the sum total of my own existence, what went before makes me who I am now! |

What other option is there when you've just been parred by some stupid bitch in a car after she nearly killed you? You should've ripped her mirror off, smashed her window and made her eat it. No leniency for car driving bell ends that nearly kill me ____________________ ♥ YZF-R6 '05 ♥

My old boss once told me 'never lose your temper, coz when you lose your temper, you've lost control and once you've lost control - you've lose everything'. Easy for him to say when he hasn't had a close-encounter with a transit door pillar but in the main it holds true.
I doubt there's a single bike rider out there who'se never wanted to punch a driver's face in, or smash up their car, it's caused by the fear reaction and subsequent rush of adrenaline. It get's less as you get older & more experienced. The downside of abusing car drivers are that they'll retaliate against another biker, perhaps every one they see from now on. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

I have had a couple of moments of where I wanted to rip off of mirrors. One where I got beside the woman and shouted at her for a few minutes holding up traffic.
The worst was where an idiot overtook a horse box around a blind corner with me coming the other way, managed to slam on my brakes and get to the left. I tried to turn around and by the time I had I'd managed to calm down, so just carried on. Don't even know what I would have done if I caught up with him ____________________ Bikes Past: Yamaha Aerox (sold) Yamaha R125 (written off)

I just ride alongside them revving the nuts off the bike, not only is it loud and annoying there is nothing they can do about it.
Either than or getting in front and just slowing riiiiiiiiiight down and moving so they can't get past, then when they are losing their rag you just give them the salute and speed away.
The main thing is to not get angry, when you are riding a motorcycle and you get angry, your riding skills suffer and that could very well lead to you having a very nasty (read: potentially fatal) accident.
At the end of the day, it's not worth it and the reason I do the above is because I find it entertaining so I can laugh whilst they pay for the dumb thing they did.

I follow them whether they go real slow to let you past after they cut you up or whatever, just follow them make a point about it too, rev the engine a little louder, and go not dangerously close but so you're always behind them.
Had an old woman push me off the road the other day turned out she was going home the same way as me, her speeds varied from 40-70+ down a dual carriage way, and she was constantly checking her mirror, going right up behind cars trying to get past and I presume away lol.
If they physically go to stop or pull over I go as if to do the same and then just speed past
sometimes you just have to let it slip though, a car cut me up badly, real badly I honked and shook my head at him at which point he just hit the brakes, hard, really hard started making hand signs out of his window he was visibly angry, he genuinely didn't give a shit about bikers and wasn't about to start. ____________________ Ybr125(10)>CBR600fY(00)>Bandit650N(58) |
