Isn't a DT a Yamaha? In which case, no, of course they won't be the same and probably not even similar.

Unless Kawasaki and Yamaha are sharing engines.

The question that Monkeymanjason asked is not as silly as it first appears and he really should not be ridiculed for asking it. I know of someone that did such a transplant and it all went together without a hitch. He did have to transplant a few of the other parts as well such as the swing arm, the wheels, the fuel tank, the frame, the exhaust, the wiring loom...

If you can't get parts for a DT LC then maybe you're too stupid to own a motorbike. And to clarify Hetzers post, the only way you'll be fitting a KDX lump is with a grinder, some steel stock and a welder, plus some mechanical skill which I very much doubt you posses based on the stupid questions you ask.

Harsher but just as accurate. Laughing

Jesus Harold Christ. I had to go through that and sort out the English just to figure out what the fuck you were on about. When some one who failed GCSE English has to do that you, that's really not good.

Perhaps tell us what year DT it is and we will help you find the parts? That's far more likely to work that trying to do an engine transplant. I've owned 2 bikes that not only never sold in great numbers but were never sold in this country and I've never been unable to find the bits I need.

Granby motors Thumbs Up
I don't think they have a website and if they do there's nothing on it. but phone them up and they really know their stuff. If you can find a microfishe online and get the part numbers they'll get you exactly what you ask for.
I bought a couple of gears (as in gearbox gears) and the gaskets and stuff from them for about £120, so i really wouldn't class them as expensive despite them stocking loads of very specific and hard to find bits.
