just wondering after reading the shadowbiker thread

I've met a few (20 odd) members from BCF since I joined, mostly at a Scottish get together and had a great time
every one was friendly and we all got on pretty well even sharing a Jacuzzi, having a few beers and even a singalong
where I did a few songs on the guitar (badly)

this was a good experience and I made a few friends I still see and keep in touch with
but other people I have met through other sites hve turned out to be complete muppets
or worse, I even ended up in court due to one Asshat I met Via the net

I also worked in a shop in Amsterdam that was tied to a website
so lots of people I knew through the site
used to visit and met lots of them again some I have stayed in touch with on a personal level as well as through the net
I even met Korn and a few other BCF people on ther way to Germany in the shop

over all I have had a good ratio of people I've met online to assholes
whats your experience been good or bad ??

Met some Lowrider people in real life after a forum, they were all pretty sorted except one guy who I already knew was a dick.

What shop was it? Was their produce worthy of sampling?

I've met countless people from the interwebs, they were... well... people. Some were cunts some were sound as fuck exactly the same as those you meet in real life. I've met a few people through purchasing various vehicles on this site, they were all friendly, helpful, honest and honest vehicles too. Maybe i just got lucky?

Joe met about 50 members off BCF the other day. They were towing a caravan or something.

Ah i know that area, it's not far from homegrown fantasy which is a nice place to chill out with a smoke and read the paper. UV toilets are a bit odd though. Grey area really is the worlds smallest coffeeshop Laughing
I usually post myself home some 'samples' from the post office just over the road from there.
God i wish i could go back to the dam for a weekend Sad

From BCF I have met only 3 people. Boundy, Monkey Knuckle, and Tonka and all were lovely people.

From a chat site I used to muck about on I have met the guts of 40 or 50 of the friends I knew online and still in contact with the majority of them. Only one or 2 turned out to be complete assholes.

Ive met loads of people from BCF and even had a BBQ in the may day run at house (well parents house at the time) so had 20+ BCF bikes outside, my parents loved it! Very Happy

I dont think I would ever met anyone of the internet that wasnt BCF as only forum Ive been a member for ages. All the ones I have meet have been really cool (none of my mates till uni were into bikes so no one to ride with!)

In all the time I`ve been on tintenet, I`ve only met one person from a forum.
I used to be on a country living web-site (greenwelliesbalertwine).
One poster had some goodies that I wanted and I had a glut of something else.
so we arranged to swap goodies, and for him to come to my house.

He was large & hairy, ok that`s not a problem, but when he started talking about axes Shocked , I became a little concerned.
needless to say, I stuck to talking via the internet after that Smile

I've met 3 of my ex's from the internet.

Made a couple of long term friends from the internet also.

Oh, and through BCF I met and came to be quite good friends with Warped and Pernig.

Cheers,

Steve.

I've met LOADS of people from here and they were nearly all sound.

One or two knobs, but you get that anywhere.

Long story,
short version - he was on a site I ran, got a job with the company I worked with
tried to steal said company, court case to decide who owned the company
he lost
