The ns125r is still not working, even though i went through all the plugs, fuses, cut off switch etc... Mad
Replaced the spark plug, the coil and ht lead, the cdi,the regulator.
Check every thing on the multimeter and got loads of readings of the new parts ( They do work),but the bike is still not given me a spark, but all the lights and the horn works.
I must have at least spent another £100 + what i bought off ian, and it still wont work. Crying or Very sad

So instead of throwing more money at it or by buying another 125cc, Ive booked in my theory, 2 lessons and my test at the end of this month and middle of next month. Thumbs Up
And i'll still have a go at getting the bike back on the road as long as it does'nt cost me more money ! Razz
My brother wants the ns125r to do up, so i'll have some money off it to put for a new bike.

At the mo' i'm looking at either a cbr400 or a vfr400,any comments on these bikes would be helpful. Thumbs Up
Any other bikes do you lot have in mind for the vertically challenged ? Wink Oh and they cant be too heavy ! (I'm only a little guy ! Rolling Eyes )

Hmm !

Sorry to hear that your not getting a spark from the plug. It's got to be an electrical problem some place.

Have you tried to see if you get a reading on the live wire that goes the the coil when it's kicked over ?
If not, try it.

If you don't get a reading from there, trace the live wire back to see what it's connected to and check that.

Also check to see if the earth wire to the coil is OK by testing it with the multimeter.

It could be a broken / disconnected wire.

I have a spare wiring harness from the spare bike I have here if you want it, (might even have the pickup coils, I'll have to check), and just so you know, I don't want any payment for the bits above if you want them.

Good Luck with the tests.

As for the bikes (CBR400 / VFR400), can't comment on them.

Hi there,

I've got a mate with a CBR400 and loves it. The Kawasaki ZXR is the bike I am planning to get in a few years. It suits me because I'm just over 6 foot. It is apparently quite long in reach to the handlebars, but I would advise sitting on them and seeing how they feel.

When you've done your full test, I would advise taking each out for a test spin!!

Since it worked before you took it apart it must be something you've done. You just need to find out what. Very Happy
