180 a set for tyres is quite good...my current tyres are £250 a set..

Was going to recommend Pirelli Angel ST... but it sounds like you are a peasant Laughing they are quite expensive, but last FOREVER.

BT023?

I can second the angels - they are awesome, no slides or scary moments and good in the wet.

Have had 4k on mine now and they have loads of tread left.

Think you'll struggle to find non shit dual compound tyres for less than £180.

The BT-003 is a really sticky borderline track tyre by the way, like the pilot power 2ct etc.

Do you want a sports tyre or a sports touring tyre?

Dual compound sports touring tyres are more than enough for the VAST majority of road riders, I use them on my CBR as they are a good compromise between life and grip,( good for 7-8k out of a rear). If you want super sticky sports tyres with a life expectancy of less than 3000 miles then worrying about a few quid on the purchase price is a bit strange.

I'm going to guess you misinterpreted the BT003 as a touring tyre, as such the tyres to look out for (sports touring dual compound) are:

Pirelli angel ST - I use them and think they are the nuts
Pilot road 2 or 3 - brother had the 2s, had 7.5k out of the rear with 2 trackdays.
Avon ultra storm 2 - supposed to be good, no direct experience with them.
Dunlop roadsmarts - supposed to be really good, again I have no direct experience of them.
Continental road attack 2 - I know nothing about them

Also consider BT023 and Metzeler Roadtec Z6 .
