Stuck valve inspection covers

The valve inspection covers on my gs125 are stuck and wont undo whatever i try. Ive tried sockets and spanners but the covers are just rounding off. Ive now removed the head from the engine and ive tried applying heat, and putting the cover in a vice to grip them but they still wont undo. Would plusgas or similar help, or does anyone have any other ideas?

Mine were an absolute butt nugget to undo.

Were rounded off before I started, I cut the edges down so they were flat, applied a blowtorch to them and used a pair of molegrips. They came out but I did need new ones Laughing

If they are alloy ones, I'd suggest heat is your friend. Get them hot enough to vapourise a drop of oil then try.

Another option is freeze and release spray.

A third option is alternating between the two (heat, then freeze, then heat again until they come loose).

A good soaking in penetrating oil overnight may also help matters.

Thanks for all your replies, i finally got them off! I filed the heads on them so i could fit a socket on tightly, i then put the cyclinder head into a vice and hit the end of the ratchet with a hammer to shock them loose.
