Buy a topbox and leave it in that.
Lock it by other means to your bike.
Buy some kind of bag that makes it easier to carry.
That's about it really. |

I got this, great job. Has a laptop cover, and a spare visor cover/holder as well as the lid holder. Nice and secure strapping and shape means you don't notice it on your back when on the bike. I'd def recommend one.

Nearly everyone over here in India locks their helmets to the bike using a fixed lock attached to the tail.
Not seen em in the UK I can't find the exact one that's popular but something similar:
https://lockitt.com/accessories_helmet_holders.htm
Guess the problem is if someone does get away with it you're screwed (no helmet laws over here). Also it could get damaged as someone makes an attempt to nick it. ____________________ current: ducati monster 750

Bit of chain or a bicycle lock, feed it through the visor, lock it to something solid on your bike. I perch mine up on a mirror to keep it upright and dry. Anyone who seriously wants it will have it, but the same applies to the bike. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I have got the Caberg helmet bag that cost me £20 it's great to wear however feels too bulky on my back. So decided carry it around with me and put my books in the helmet bag. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

When I use it as a basket I hold it by the chin bar anyway, don't want it swinging about by the strap. A sandwich and packet of walkers is unlikely to do much damage, I reckon |

When im at college (on my moped) i usually stuff my jacket and gloves under the seat, then loop a stretchy bike chain through the chinbar and round the front wheel.
it's in a designated bike shelter (that doesnt work very well) so no ones can kick it unless they are deliberately trying to, or trying to unlock their moped.
It has got a bar under the pillion seat i could fasten it to, but the genius' at yamaha decided to put it a few inches away from the exhaust.. ____________________ MBK Nitro 50, Sold. Kawasaki ER-5, Honda ST1100
