Is your battery in good nick?
Is your alternator charging properly?
Your lights may be maladjusted, I would check these out first, as the bulbs should be standard and should be bright enough.
Good Luck with it.

I've been having a similar problem also.
With the bike being a 125 there's not a great deal you can do as far as upgrading the lighting... If the bulb which is installed currently is a BA20D globe type... you could try upgrading to a 45/40w bulb...
or alternatley buy a BA20D halogen bulb 35/35...

but you must make sure that, if you're putting a halogen bulb in, the headlight unit is not plastic because the bulb will get too hot.
If it's a metal unit with a glass lense, you will be fine.

I'm debating a full new headlight assembly to handle halogen bulbs,
Just like yourself, i commute a lot in the dark.

hope this helps

This.

Hotter/brighter bulbs just screw with the casing Thumbs Down

When my friend crashed my CBR, I just stuck those twin dominator type headlights on, 10 times better IMO, but dont go trashing your bike just yet Laughing

I think you just have to accept the limitation of a 125cc bikes electrical system. If you think they're bad, you should see the candle powered crap some much older bikes use Laughing

I found the standard headlight and bulbs good enough to ride along unlit a roads flat out (so what, 75mph maybe? Laughing ).
