Was going to go the garage this morning for new tires and sort out the indicators but have developed two main problems the first is constant flooding of the engine when I left the garden (working perfectly in the garden).

The second is when I managed to get it going along the street it wouldn't go any more than 10mph. So just had to push it about 25 houses to get it home.

Any idea what could be the cause of these problems.

I would possibly look to see if the main jet has fallen out of it`s thread, or is the float getting stuck?

Just a couple of ideas?

Thanks for the idea pepper I will see If I can get to it when it stops chucking it down with rain.

Thread update managed to start it normally but now after I turn the engine off and try to start again it sounds flooded and not starting compared to not starting before at all.

Yup, my thoughts too. Have you been fiddling with the carb recently?

Or, have you put your upside-down head on and are flipping a flippy choke the wrong way? I ask because I've done it myself after telling dozens of other owners which way to flip it. Doh!

What kind of bike is it?

It has been left alone for about a week I haven't messed with any of the carbs at all or anything on the bike apart from the battery which is back to normal. The choke is the pull kind and I'm doing it correctly I believe well I hope Embarassed

The bike is a Honda Cb125

Betcha left petrol switched off too.

Your float needles will be sicking due to evaporation from the float bowl.

Common problem if you let bike 'stand'.... especially so cantankerouse little Super-Dreams, with a pair of PD24 Carbs!

NOW!

Refer to Haynes.....

THEN remember your tutorlidge under expert Teflon guidance.

HOW MANY effing times did we take them float bowls off to clean, swap or otherwise effect change to get carburation sweet?

SURELY you haven't forgotten already!

Floats, we dropped numerous times without even taking carbs off, just the four screws under the float bowl.

If the float bowls have firred up though, probably be worth pulling main & idle jet & emulsion tube; and cleaning gently with tooth-brush & deturgent; they as tiny holes in emulsion tubes tend to be the first to fir up with evaporation deposits.

ALSO.... phenomina of the model, Snowies and Number five AND Number two all do it.... after any time left, they wet themselves a bit from the float bowl vent, until the float needles been washed and the float bowl gasket swells.

Roger; its a Red 125 Super-Dream, with custom graphics, and alarm LED set into the speedo housing; he has a pull for 'on' choke knob by the speedo....

.............................and with the carburettors properly set up and balanced, it USED to do a GPS checked 70mph two up on the flat!
