Hi,

Getting slight rattle from bike around 4-5K RPM, and sounds like a bunch of keys rattling on top yoke, but I dont have many keys on keyring. just ignition an Disc Lock.

I thought it could be CCT ! Could this be the case ? 15,000 miles bike has done.

Can I adjust this myself ? Is it easier. I have checked manual but it explains about removing it not adjusting that I can see.

thoughts please ?!
Ta

Joolz

He could mean that in general bikes haven't had manually adjustable cam chain tensioners since the early 80s. But there are aftermarket versions available for certain bikes that have a reputation for frailty in that department.

Or that any time anyone describes any sort of rattle, its instantly assumed its the cct. Its probably a bolt rattling around in your fairing

The ZZR's can make a sort of metallic rattling at around the RPM you described. Its the fresh air gizmo on top of the rocker cover. This has two reed valves under the chrome oblong covers where the two pipes join into the venturi thing. One of the petals will be slightly bent. You can junk them and join the two pipes together to quieten it down, it also gets rid of the raspy noise in the airbox.
