Wether this will help is doubtful, but, get an inline fuse! i'm guessing the radio equipment was not cheep! depending on the ampage they use (i have no idea really) it could save you frying your bike or your radio!
Again i'm not sure but the only reason I could possibly imagine is there isn't enough current draw (you do have it wired to the tail light not the brake light right? i wired my gps into the indicator by accident with amusing results )
I wouldn't have thought it would be an issue, but if it is try wiring into your battery (with an appropriate fuse as close the the battery terminal as possible) and you can fit a relay to the tail light and then run the power off the battery, that way you get the full current available and it will only come on when your ignition is on.
It might well be the connection its pluging into?
Anyways, make sure to let us know what the problem was! |

The reason you have a yellow connector is because it is wired differently to a black connector. The connector with a black connector to a yellow connector is a CONVERTER lead, not a straight through such as you need. Request a straight through lead, which most likely will have black to black connectors
Hope this helps, but if not email Sam Wray enquiries@autocom.co.uk he can advice you further. |
