Decided my bike is completley up the shit after daily use,
after selling my B1h and 2 other zxr400's i have enough to tart it up a little, its not going to be a complete rebuild. BUt heres a list of things:

1.Fork Refurb (fork seal's have leaked so much the oil is all over the wheel)
2.Chain Sprocket's (chains rusted to death and has a kink in)
3.New maxxis Tyres (tyres are squared rear has 2 repairs front has a few nials sticking around
4.have swing arm polished
5.refurb the all round brembo brake's + disc's

possible maybes:
1.refurb and set rear shock.
2.have seat's customized
3.new front mudgaurd
4.crashbungs
5.steering damper
6.Motogb rear set's

Reason for this is i have braught and sold several zxr400's latley and have no got a ton of spares including damper's and motogb rearset's so ill see if i want to sell them or just use them.

hoping ill get help from few people along the way and ill get a ton of photo's uploaded.

So here'swhere i start ...ordering part's

Fork oil seal's ordered for £5.45 after cradley kwak qouted me £12!!!

im about to order the green chain i want.
just not 100% if it will fit?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EK-Green-520-pitch-Motorcycle-and-motocross-chain-fits-KX-KXF-ZX6R-ZX10R-NEW-/180540068314?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2a0906d1da#ht_1472wt_1037&clk_rvr_id=325333100203

thats the one anyone know if it will?

already picked up some brand new JT sprockets for £20 but they sent me 2 sets gave the one set to a friend for £10 so new sprockets for just £10! bargin.

Photo's soon to come.

As promised pics of how it currently stands

Here's my rust effect back end i achieved this by not lubing my chain and the fact it hasnt being changed for near 2 and half years (owner hadnt used it for two years before me)

Each oil seal for mine is £18.08 and dust seals are £12 each... then I have 4 bushes to buy at £7.50 each. Laughing

Everyone who sells a zxr engine says the same thing.
The sad thing is every zxr engine that gets sold needs work doing to it.

I would by stuff from you, but the prices you want to sell stuff for are unreasonable IMHO.

You seem to be pricing your stuff at people who are noob bikers that dont know any better.....

Just cos there are lumps on ebay for 400 quid, dont expect people to buy stuff at ebay prices outside of ebay.

nah it really was, I have the receipts for it laying around somewhere... (Obviously I didn’t have it done person before me did)

Anyhow...Chain came today looks pretty good, plus next day delivery no complaints.

Now before I start taking the bike apart going to wait for fork seals and sprocket nut's ect to arrive, does anybody know of a good place in/near Birmingham that polish's? need my swing arm, exhaust hanger, rear set’s doing and lacquered ? not sure if its best to get them lacquered to save having to keep polishing them day in day out?
Advice?

I do just over 1500 a month and my chain has been the same one since May last year, possibly months/years before that Laughing

little update (well major update in this teenie tidy up) Laughing

The old front sprocket vs the new front:
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/557972_3707404003356_1223235604_3727552_1851915379_n.jpg

But when removing the wheel this happened to pop off.

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/525180_3707406323414_1223235604_3727559_2120522644_n.jpg

So now i have to order some hose fitting's

Steering damper

https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/539070_3707406883428_1223235604_3727560_846702345_n.jpg

Fitted it and hated it so its on ebay 99p start...heres the link :https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120888193785?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

The polished sprocket nuts arrived today so fitted it all back together put rear tyre on, i know i said it'll be polised which it will but i have to use the bike daily so just getting it road worthy for time being then when i dont need it for a few day's ill whip it off and get it done.

so chain and everything is on as you can see its a good 6 links to long. whats the best way to remove the links , also ive only ever used split links before this one is different seemed like its a perminent fixture and you have to like sqause the end of the pins down? whats the best way to do this thanks Very Happy Thumbs Up

Before you fuck up that chain... Wind in the adjusters fully then line up the links. You need to cut it so that you have 2 inner links (non green) to put the split pin through. By the looks of that picture you have no idea what you are doing and will end up chopping the chain 3 times in total to do it properly at the exspence of buying another 2 split links.

This thread is an awful advertisement for your idiotic buy-sell idea.

The only sensible thing done was trying to sell your chinese nasty steering damper (that cost about $20 new from china). (see here) I hope those bidders realise it's a non-branded POS before it's too late.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycle-7-way-Steering-Damper-adjustable-universal-Gold-330-mm-Ducati-HONDA-/270892734193?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3f127716f1#ht_1236wt_1397

£5 fork seals will be shitty pattern ones that last 5 minutes, but what do you care? The bike will be sold, but it's shoddy as hell. You get what you pay for with seals.

Also, displaying your complete lack of knowledge about something as simple as a chain... I will never consider buying anything from you, knowing that you've played with it. I would advise anyone else to do the same.

Hold on - the brake hose just 'popped off'?
Either you're insanely hamfisted, or it's nothing short of a miracle that you manage to survive from day to day.
