So today I actually realised the winter gloves I got last year are not waterproof. I rode to work in torrential rain and my fingers were like prunes by the time I got there Crying or Very sad

Any suggestions? Im not really fussed about warmth factor as im hard core Wink But would prefer to have dry fingys Laughing

Held Freezer gloves. Though they are about £80, but much better than the Spada Enforcers bought last year.

Put some waterproofing stuff on them if they are winter gloves, that might solve the problem.

Look on ebay for "waterproofing spray"

Had a pair of RST raptors. Fell apart 3 times in 2 months!! Replaced them with a pair of Dainese Scout Gore-Tex Glove, and they are warm,dry,non-bulky, very comfortable and subtle. Highly recommended. A bit pricey, but Im thinking long term investment.

Im a tight git at the moment. Travel 10 miles to work, 10 back - or at most 1.5 miles to the misses.
Still use my SP1's for winter with petrol garage plastic gloves underneath Laughing Use works/Mrs radiators to dry out Mr. Green

I always grab a handleful of diesel gloves when i fill up and stick under the seat, and just slip them on before my gloves when it rains - works a treat.

The problem is that I got them off Ebay and they were cheapo ones because I was skint at the time. I dont think they are proper winter gloves although they have a thermal lining in them.

They are some sexy gloves!! I agree about long term investment and £100 was my budget anyway.

Does waterproofing spray work on textiles?

That'll make no difference. The spray MAKES them waterproof. It coats them to seal them. I've seen it make kitchen roll waterproof, it'll work with gloves lol.

Get some decent muffs - better than any gloves I've tried at keeping your hands dry.

Yeah it'll work on anything really. It needs to be re-applied every so often but it's the best option for dodgy waterproofs. You can also get it in a wash-in form, so you chuck it in the washer with your gear and it waterproofs them like that

Make sure you tuck the cuff of the gloves inside your jacket.
Water runs down you arms into the glove if you don't.
And no waterproof glove will be waterproof against water being directed into them from the open cuff.

One of the best winter gloves on the market.

No - waterproofing spray will do jack shit. I've got items washed in nikwax tech wash then sprayed with their waterproofing spray yet still happily let water through.
