I don't know really, surely Massa would have noticed Hamilton coming up the inside. However if I was Massa I wouldn't have allowed him to pass easily either.
Funniest part though is Mr Beans Face.

The important part about today's (completely correct) steward's decision, is that it sends out a clear message that you can't just turn in on Hamilton and expect him to get penalised, which I think is what certain drivers were starting to believe.
Whatever you think about Hamilton, he does race, so there's a certain inevitability that some contact will occur; some of the responsibility for that contact will fall on the driver being passed, and they need to be reminded of that. ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........

Massa won't ever think like that though, he's still sore that Hamilton pipped him to the post, in the only year he was ever likely to win the title.
He'll spend the rest of his career trying to make a name for himself, probably ending up in an HRT or similar, unless he does the decent thing and retires. ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........

to both of them for actually racing. Vettel's sponsors must be livid, I don't think the camera was on him for more than a minute during the whole race. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Massa...
He looked left, right, saw no car, look left, knew he was there.
To be fair to Lewis, he did say that during the move he knew at the last moment Massa wasn't going to give him room and tried to back out of it, but he still swiped him full well knowing he was there (hence the penalty of "causing an avoidable accident").
If he hadn't of blatently looked left twice, he might have got away with a penalty, but he knew he was there.
And to be fair to Lewis, at the end, he did say Massa hasn't spoken to him all year, so he put his arm around him during the driver briefing and said "good luck for the race".
I think Lewis gets put in the bad light, just like Marco was, he's penalised for RACING. Your not a motor racer to come 2nd.
I think Massa's still pissed about this thought tbh...

I used to have a lot of respect for Massa.
Sadly this year he has proved that he should not be in F1 with his attitude.
Still won't talk to Hamilton.... That is just acting like a spoilt kid.... Not a profesional racing driver....
These guys risk their lives every race and with the death of 2 fellow races over the last 2 weeks....
And you see him look in his mirrors and move over on another driver knowing for well they had no where to go other than off the track....
Personally he was lucky to get just a drive through.
India was cited as a wide track to allow overtaking.... Yet you see incidents like this. And next to no overtaking other than with DRS..... Sure there is the racing line, but as has been proved, often taking another line can pay off, so long as the drivers treat each other's space with respect. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

If you were about to win the championship only for it to be lost when a car in front of your rival suddenly happens to loose grip just before the finish line you would be pissed off too. Especially when you have be pretty crap since then
I want to have Alonso and Raikonen at Ferrari ____________________ Bikes : 2006 CBR125R - 2004 Monster 620ie - 2004 ZX-6R B1H - 2005 Monster S2R 800 - 2011 Street Triple - 2009 Streetfighter 1098 - 2014 ZX-6R 636

Raiko would struggle to keep up I think. Its always a nightmare when you have two top drivers in a team.
I think Button and Hamilton (bar Canada, but they still dealt with it very well) have been a grea example to others how top drivers can have a good fight, yet remain team mates. Clearly didn't work for Alonso and Lewis
Doesn't work for Massa, doesn't work for Webber, didn't work for Prost/Senna, nor Rubens and Schumacher, and many other examples over the years.
Massa is a good driver, just not championship winning level, like Mark Webber, they've not quite got that "edge".
Unfortunatly, whilst I love Button, everyone seems to forget that Honda had fully developed the car the season before, hence why Honda done so badly before they sold up. they had it tested and ready, and whilst adjustments were made, they already had the clear advantage, and Button made full use of it at the start of the season. But he's got that edge as well, he's driven really well this year. I think Lewis's "off track" issues (mainly the women, or ex women now) has had his mind off the game this year.
Hopefully, McLaren will come back fighting next year, and if all 3 teams have good cars, it should make for a good season.
*Now goes and gets depressed over no motor-racing for the winter period * |

Massa has never been the same since that thing hit his lid...
Massa's fault, although you could see it coming in the run up to the corner.
As others have said, whatever you think about Hamilton at least he races, the rest of them are happy to finish 5th, he pushes for the win and is the best racer there.
How interesting would it be if at the end of the season before all the cars are mothballed if they put every driver in say the red bull for an quali session...
You reckon Vettel would beat Hamilton then? ____________________ [Current Bikes - GSXR-750 K5 & C90-97 ] [Previous Bikes: Runner 125, YBR 125, GS500, Bandit 600, Hornet 600, ZX6R-99, C90-99, R1-99, XT600E-04, GSXR-750 K4, CRF250L '16] |

i've been a big jensen fan since back when he started at B.A.R, it's nice to see him doing well as he's always been a good consistent driver who can do just about anything the team ask of him and he never looses his cool.
Hamilton is just a cock and i've hated him since day 1. He's been on the delivering side of some pretty cuntish moves so it's nice to see it coming back around to bite him in the arse ____________________ 04 NSR 125(sold) ---- 03 CBR 600rr(sold) ----90 pan euro ST1100 ' ' ----02 CG 125

i knew he was racing before B.A.R. I meant i've been following him since he started at B.A.R.
Hamilton got thrown straight into the one of the best cars and was a cocky little shit who by sheer luck managed to actually finish a race without going kamikaze on everyone ____________________ 04 NSR 125(sold) ---- 03 CBR 600rr(sold) ----90 pan euro ST1100 ' ' ----02 CG 125
