i have a malaguti xtm 50! trouble is i have a back light and front light but horn dont work,indicators dont work and brake light.The digital dash was tempramental but now that gone on blink.
Fuse ok,new battery and earth seems ok! Just dont know what to do now Evil or Very Mad

Are you sure the battery is OK?

The horn is probably kaput and can be replaced very cheaply, (some have a tuning screw on the back with a locknut, moving that either way in tiny amounts can sometimes sort it).

Indicators might need a new relay.

Brake light could be the switch which is connected by a long spring to the rear brake lever on most bikes, or the switch on the front brake lever. If you have a multi meter, you can check the continuity of all the wires from one end to the other. Obviously, check the bulb too.

That should do for starters.

yeah battery is brand new because i thought old battery was causing some problems! just seems a big coincidence that all them components should stop working all at once.

I've checked the fuse cos its only got one and replaced the rear bulb too and still the same.

seems to be ok.gave bike to friend who knows a bit about bikes.Could a faulty ignition switch cause all these problems?

You say the battery is ok but is it fully charged? Is the fuse pushed in correctly, and are any of the wires damaged?

All the parts which arnt working are powered straight from the battery, so the problem is either the battery, fuse or some damaged wiring.

Also if the bike has electric start does that work and do the horn, indicators and brake light work when the engine is running?

fuse is properly pushed in.With engine running only thing that works is rear light and front light! No electric start just kick start! Battery is giving good voltage.

its only got a kickstart! Its an imported italian bike no got no manuals or diagrams which is a nightmare!
