Why is it that the Police use the biggest and heaviest bikes you can get? Surely they would be better off with something lighter and more agile ____________________ Bikes : 2006 CBR125R - 2004 Monster 620ie - 2004 ZX-6R B1H - 2005 Monster S2R 800 - 2011 Street Triple - 2009 Streetfighter 1098 - 2014 ZX-6R 636

Plod over here have Blades and Gixxers!
I wouldn't like to be riding either, all day everyday though, mind you they'll get medically retired for chronic back pain I suppose. ____________________ "Everybody needs money, that's why they call it money!" |

Plenty of forces have stealth sports bikes.
And Usually they have to carry a load of crap with them in the panniers, so those big buses are the obvious choice. I'm sure they can still shift though. ____________________ My Flickr |

I've read that some uk police forces have used R1s and Fireblades.
Pan is a good bike from what i've read on here, and can lift it's skirt when asked.
I was going to add that the skills of a motorcycle copper usually make up for the bike's deficiencies , but after watching a telly program that follows candidates from trainee to full bike-cop... I bet they dropped it in the first month. ____________________ Diabolical homemade music Bandcamp and Soundcloud

Just up the road in West Yorkshire they have a plain black 2011 fireblade, there is nothing to tell it apart from any other untill you get really close. the bottom of the screen (the bit thats usually blacked to hide the back of the clocks) is clear, that's where the camera is and the recording stuff is in a small tank bag. Sneaky feckers
Pretty sure theres DRz's knocking about too....

I just thought that in somewhere like London it would be easier to duck and dive on something a bit smaller
(G would recommend a litre sportsbike ) ____________________ Bikes : 2006 CBR125R - 2004 Monster 620ie - 2004 ZX-6R B1H - 2005 Monster S2R 800 - 2011 Street Triple - 2009 Streetfighter 1098 - 2014 ZX-6R 636

They use big bikes to carry gear and for comfort during a full shift.
And I'll challeng any Sod on his Sunday Samuria against my K1300GT any day....
Those pricks are always getting in my way....
