Last week a 2" hole appeared in exhaust downpipes, Ive done a tempary repair on it.

It turns over fine, battery has been re-charged after many attempts it just wont fire.

Fuel pump runs, it turns an I cant understand why there might not be spark or compression ! can smell fuel after many attempts.

After I noticed the exhaust, I have only took fairings off, then put clay, fiberglass and a baked bean can around the broken exhaust.

I did start it a couple of times without letting it warm up. And its kept outside in the rain.

Ive had the plugs out, they are clean, not wet. did not try spak test

could it be the 'clay' has fallen off, and is now blocking the exhaust??

just thinking out loud

Check its sparking first.

Whilst turning it over see if you can feel gases being pushed out the exhaust.

I haven't seen many issues with these although seen some CBR posts pop up in relation to a crank or cam position sensor? This could stop it from starting... unsure how your exhaust bodge would have done that though.

You put fibreglass on your exhaust? Surly that will give off a lovely smell when you eventually get it running.......

When you say fairings off, do you also mean the front cowl?

There is a bank angle sensor in the front cowl, by the headlight. If unplugged then it stops the bike from sparking. If the front cowl is off and the harness unplugged, plug it back in.
