I'm pretty sure it is normal, it does it as well on my bike and it's only a few months old Smile

On my 900 they are slightly dimmer on tick-over, nothing to worry about (unless it starts getting dimmer and dimmer)

This is completely normal, the cg headlights are powered directly from the alternator instead of from the battery like most modern bikes.

When at idle the alternator is not generating much power so therefore the bulbs are dim.

Also when your starting the bike try giving it a bit of throttle at the same time if your not already doing so and it should start straight away.

Batteries are very susceptible to cold. During cold or frosty mornings not only will the fuel be more difficult to ignite (due to evaporation at lower temperatures) the battery will not be able to put out the normal maximum amps (power).
It should really be capable of starting even when iced up.

I think you may have a battery on the way out.
That is a normal sign of a battery at the end of it's working life.
I think Halfrauds sell the correct battery for under £40 including the Acid Charge (Six little shampoo bottles of Sulphuric Acid solution) You pour the acid in yourself and let the battery sit for a couple of hours to stabilize. You can fit it in the bike though but do not switch the key on.
The battery will have instructions on it.

As said, the CG 125 needs a good bit of throttle on initial start.
The choke has two positions ONLY USE THE FULL ON POSITION.
Choke full on.
Open the throttle about 20% of maximum.
Hit the start button.
It should go after the engine turns over two or three times.
Hold the throttle open for a few moments then ease it towards idle.
You will learn when the engine can hold idle with choke on.
When the engine has ran for a few minutes the choke can be switched to OFF.
Or ride off and stop a few minutes later to switch off the choke.
The choke is a bsatard to get to when sat on the bike.
