Hi,
Just a quick question.....
Now I have my full license, I would love to do a trackday in order to learn to 'push-it' a bit more, get some experience on a track. I live not too far from Knockhill you see..........
But my question is this: can you hire bikes from circuits for trackdays? or do you need to take your own? Also, do tracks usually do 1-on-1 lessons?
Cheers guys

Just had a look at the Knockhill website..........
Niall MacKenzie Trackday School = £155
How good does that sound?
Learn from a pro! It says the course is designed for people new to trackdays, with Niall MacKenzie giving tips on riding and bike set-up. He also comes out on the track with you!!!
But depends on bike hire.....

The https://www.haslamraceschool.com/ is at Donington and for £245 there you get the use of a CBR600RR all day and tuition. Its supposed to be very good. ____________________ BCF: Be yourself, just don't be an arse. |

Money permitting, I'd be up for doing it with you and ProXimaCore. ____________________ Past >>>> Honda NSR 125 >>>> Suzuki GSXR 600 K1 >>>> Suzuki GSXR 600 K4 >>>>Kawasaki Z1000 DAF >>>>Suzuki RMZ 250 >>>> Current >>>> KTM Superduke R 1290 >>>> |

Personally I'd say track days are better value for money, you'll get more track time than at a school. Also by doing a school on a hire bike you'll just end up learning to ride a bike you don't own and will likely not be as fast as you would be on a bike you are familliar with.
Most track days will offer one on one training included in the price and the instructor will be a racer or ex racer anyway.
Personally I'd rather do two track days and have £50 left in my pocket than pay £250 for one day where you'll likely only get 3 or 4 sessions on track. ____________________ Gallery |

Fair comments . i don't really like the thought of thrashing my bike round a track though. Another thing I was thinking of doing was some sort of advanced riding course. Do you think that would be worthwhile? ____________________ Past >>>> Honda NSR 125 >>>> Suzuki GSXR 600 K1 >>>> Suzuki GSXR 600 K4 >>>>Kawasaki Z1000 DAF >>>>Suzuki RMZ 250 >>>> Current >>>> KTM Superduke R 1290 >>>> |
