 |
|
I have been looking to get a bike lift for my DR350 and found some here
https://tinyurl.com/BikeLiftmx
What do you use to jack up your bike and how much was it?
Is it even worth getting one? Any suggestions on a make shift one? ____________________ My YouTube Channel

Same here, dead easy to use and fairly stable once the bike is up on it. The full bike ramp/lifts are extremely useful if you can afford one but the basic one-step stands are enough for me at the moment. I got mine from ghostbikes.com and it cost me £30 IIRC ____________________ Theory test - 19/8/09, CBT - 11/10/09, MOD 1 - 16/8/10, MOD 2 - 27/10/10

I got that off e-bay a couple of years ago, when I got the DT as a 'project'... It was a 'leader' auction & I think I got it for something daft like £40... without checking.
After years of using a milk-crate to prop up my Montesa, I was rather peeved to find we didn't have Milkmen any more to ask for a replacement when it cracked, so fixed a board to an old TV stand until that gave up!
TBH: it's 'useful', but not THAT useful; & the simple 'box' of an old milk-crate or TV stand, that doesn't have anything poking out the side to get in the way, can be as or more useful most of the time; proved by fact that I jacked the DT up to height on the hydraulic and have since pretty much left it there throughout the entire build, lifting it up onto the stand and off again when needed! ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!
