Ello everyone, just got a txt from Yams, bit sketchy but he said he's crashed into a motorway barrier.. Confused

I don't know how bad it is yet but since he sent me the txt i'm assuming he's not doing too bad, but he did ask if anybody has a right hand fairing for the R6 Sad 2002 model i think his is...

Oh no Sad

Hope he isn't too bad, if its only a fairing panel he's asked for then surely it can't be that bad.

got some more news, he was coming round a bend onto a motorway and lost it.. he was doing about 60mph but says he only hit the barrier at about 15mph so not a very high speed thing and the bike is mainly cosmetic damage

he says he's hurting a fair bit, but should be able to ride it back home.. he reckons he won't be walking very much tomorrow though...!! so big ouchies for yams

Another development in the saga Smile apparently he was following a girl, most likely in tight leathers... I wonder if he was a little distracted! Wink

Still, it's good he's riding it back home, can't be too bad. Should be back around 19:00 so will let him fill in the gaps then.

There was a thing on teletext about a bloke being killed on an R6 yesterday, so it's good to hear Yams is ok. Also we all know how much he loved that bike, so sympathy there too.

Get well soon mate,

P.S. Women in tight leathers... Danger on 2 wheels! (Not that I'm sexist),

It's me Smile I somehow have made it home Twisted Evil

Thanks for posting Jam.

I was following a bike and she went into corner way too fast and only just held it up, I however didnt, must have hit the curb at around 30ish then flipped into the barrier. Bike had a relatively soft landing on a grass verge and I ended up over the barrier Rolling Eyes

Nothing broken, we bodged bike together and I even got to south end Wink And somehow made it back, I can barely move at the minute, my right leg took all the impact on those stupid armco barrier things and as such it's badly brusied/sore/aching etc., hurt my back, neck, right arm/wrist and just a bit pissed off more than anything.

Bike came off suprisingly well to be honest Very Happy R6's seem to crash well, the right fairing is scuffed, will need replacing though, the bar ends scuffed, the seat unit right side is scuffed and my new double bubble is now smashed. The right side engine casing is caked in mud, don't know what damage is done there yet.

Still rideable and will no doubt be back to tartiness again soon.

Thanks for the replies, makes me feel a bit better that I'm ok but I really didn't need this to happen right now Confused

As the famous G always says : MEH!

p.s. got some pics, will upload in a bit
