Hi, as nobody has yet taken me up on the possible spare parts, im thinking of putting in a bandit 400 engine of a 1991, into my 1989 gk73a gsxr400, i believe it will pickup on the same bolts? but what else will i need to change, for example, the wiring loom ? carbs ? starter motor ? or is it just a case of pluggin my gk73a parts into the new engine and it will work ? thanks

I believe it will bolt up, but i would get the carbs and electrics with the motor as well.

Earlier gsxr400s had a pair of twin choke carbs which wont fit the b4 motor.

Is It a vairiable valve bandit engine? If so It will fit but you will need ALL of the bandit wiring harness and CDI.
No Idea If a none vvt will fit.

haha not really, i just want to get it on the road as quickly as possible as i might be moving then will have the choice to make to ship it over or leave it here. If i dont get the job then il carry on stripping down then engine and rebuilding it, then look at what to do in the winter.
