Hi, Recently got a shoei xr 1100.

Took off the clear visor in all this nice weather and had a dark one to go on, went on fine and worked brilliantly.

Went to get the helmet to go out today and the 'Gear' bit that adjusts your visor was sticking out where it is supposed to be.

Took that side of the visor off (Left) and clicked it back in properly and it feels really stiff on the left side. Like too stiff to want to move it without damaging something! It's quite hard to describe but as you move the visor down the whole left side of the visor where it is attached sort of moves after everry 'Click'. Something definately isn't right... can't see anything though.

So after half an hour of faffing around thinking hmmm how have I managed to fuck a brand new lid Brick Wall I have got no where.

The right side fits and works fine, I've had both visors on and off - just wondered if anyones experienced anything similar, possibly I need to adjust the base plates :s

Cheers Thumbs Up

Yeah it's a genuine 'dark smoke' one mate, was working perfectly the other day can't understand it.

It's use-able just I don't really want to be putting it under excess pressure though flipping the visor up and down. It's like really stiff just on the left side :S

Might end up taking it to a shoei dealer or something, hopefully someone's had a similar problem and solution Very Happy Thumbs Up

Are you sure you're seating the visor correctly?
Also, when I got a new Arai, it came with a small tube of lube for the visor mechanism, maybe you to lube it up a bit, LOL!

Laughing

Don't think Shoei's do lube, their not ghey Wink

But yes, fairly sure. The 2 locating bits of plastic are in their positions correctly and the 'gear' is too. The visor works... It's just really stiff.

Pissing me off!

Thumbs Up
