Booked it for Tuesday. Can't wait now. I was going to book Mod1 for later in the month, but you need to put the theory certificate number in before you can book it. That's a bit of a poor way of doing it isn't it?

Not really since you can't do mod1 until you have a theory pass.

You can't do MOD2 until you've passed mod 1 but you can still book it before you pass mod1.

Yes, yes you can. But that doesn't affect not being able to book the Mod 1 without a theory certificate.

My guess would be because the theory is all digitalized, it's easier to import the passes/fails in to the system. The Mod1 and the Mod2 have written certificates which don't ever see a computer system. Your Mod2 goes straight to the DVLA, not a computer.

It's all a pain in the arse though. I couldn't even book my driving theory test because I hadn't got my licence back from the DVLA yet after passing my Mod2, and I didn't know how long that would take them to do!

No, it makes sense. If you haven't passed theory, how can you be safe to ride to the test centre to sit mod - wait a minute, our entire test system is a farce!. Shocked Wink

Eh, the computerised system is flawed. It requires a theory pass obtained within the last 2 years, but an Accelerated Access candidate might have passed it more than 2 years ago: the criteria for sitting Accelerated Access is just having an A<=25kW license.

45 and 49 on the two practice tests on the DVLA website Mr. Green how about you? It's not so bad really, common sense Thumbs Up

I've done the two practices on the DSA site and got 44 and 49. It's just common sense.

One question that caught me out, when approaching a 4 way cross roads with no priorities mark two answers. 1) Slow down and prepare to stop (obvious) 2) sound your horn as you approach (wtf???)

Well although the horn is mostly used for road-ragers and flashing your lights is mostly used to let someone go, in THEORY both are only for use to "let someone know you're there". So when approaching an unmarked junction, especially a crossroads, people may not see your lights so by sounding two beeps of your horn, you let everyone know you're approaching

Simples *squeak-squeak* Thumbs Up
