Right, MOT is due in a week n a bit.

Forks are leaking a little, this can be solved simply by rebulding them, no worries.

Problem is my front right disk is rattly...the other is within spec by far. In theory I could convert it to a single disk Shifty but would that pass the MOT given the wheel has twin disk holes?

Obviously its not a permanent thing... just for the 30 minute MOT... mainly till I can afford a new disk (looking to be next month)

The joys of expensive parts Laughing

fork seals will pass aslong as it's not leaking enough to get onto brakes a light smear on forks will be fine.

are the brakes playing up? if it still brakes true it will probably pass the brake test fine, the disc being noisy shouldn't be a failure unless by it being rattly you mean it's loose in some way?

Someone on here told me to put a bolt through the disc rivet and tighten a nut on it not only will then clamp it down it should also grip and spin the rivet freeing it up. Thumbs Up

+1 to what chris said, also spray with brake cleaner while you do it.
They are supposed to be loose so the disc can float.

Hmm, good idea. Was going to be ghetto and just put something like a bit of rubber around the disk and squish it in the vice... Laughing

Single disk conversion will fail an MOT because the braking system has to be nominally as it left the factory.
